WFA Girls PDC Trials

Worcestershire FA are pleased to announce that we have been granted permission to run a Girls Player Development Centre for season 2015/16.
...

This years trials will be held at the University of Worcester’s 3G pitch WR2 6AJ 6pm – 7.30pm. Players will need to attend both days.

Players will be assessed using the four corner model which consists of the following areas:

  • Social (interaction with others)
  • Psychological (dealing with pressure, understanding the game)
  • Physical (fitness, strength)
  • Technical (skills, control, passing, shooting)

To register for the trials you must email Martin martin.collier@worcestershirefa.com with the following information:

  • Player name
  • Age group (U11, U13 or U15)
  • Club she plays for
  • Contact address
  • Contact email
  • Emergency contact name
  • Emergency contact number

The Girls Player Development Centre is the first step onto the Elite Player Pathway. PDC’s feed into Centre’s of Excellence where players are expected to meet a certain standard of football. The PDC’s aim is to prepare you as a player as much as possible to make that next step into elite football. The PDC will focus on many areas around a syllabus which has been designed with players performance, development and fitness in mind.
