Employability Through Football Programme
Worcestershire FA is proud to run a second ‘Employability Through Football’ programme, funded by European Social Fund Community Grants.
The programme will provide fun and engaging of activities that will move people closer to employment, using football to engage learners, whilst at the same time having a big impact on the physical health and mental wellbeing of each participant. Learners must be 18+ to attend the programme and the start date is week commencing 24th January 2022
The programme will take place at the brand-new Worcestershire FA facilities at County Sports Ground, Claines Lane, Worcester, WR3 7SS. There will be no cost for the learners and funds are available to support with travel expenses.The programme will consist of 10 learners attending weekly workshops every Monday and Wednesday for 3 weeks. Outside of the workshops, learners will be able to receive 1-2-1 support, helping them make the next step into employment/education.
Learners will cover the following topics, using football as an engagement tool:
- Language and communication
- Interview skills
- Confidence-building
- Job searching
- CV writing
- Work placements / tasters
